The Filipino teacher also faces various financial challenges that make their life and work more challenging. Gabay Guro aims to lighten this burden on the teachers and extend to them a helping, caring hand. Through its Livelihood Pillar, our educators are offered valuable support and resources, aiming to enhance their economic well-being and to uplift their live.
In collaboration with our partners, like PLDT Home KaAsenso, Smart, Sun, 51talk,PECCI, and ASA, to name a few, the Livelihood Pillar has provided over 5,000 teachers access to various livelihood training and entrepreneurship initiatives, including links to micro-financing organizations and opportunities to earn extra income via home-based micro-enterprises. Over 1,500 teachers have also started their own load retailing business after being awarded retailer phone kits and sim cards.
These efforts have empowered our teachers to create additional sources of income, contributing to their financial stability, and improving their quality of life.
Over 5,000 teachers have already been given the opportunity to earn extra in partnership with public and private companies/ organizations like 51talk, Smart, Sun, PLDT Home KaAsenso, PECCI and ASA.
