About Us

Gabay Guro supports and empowers Filipino teachers so that they can focus on what’s important – providing quality education for Filipino students and learners.
Gabay Guro, or 2G, is an Education arm of PLDT-Smart Foundation and one of its flagship projects that is run by volunteers composed of members of the PLDT Manager’s Club, Inc. Gabay Guro is anchored on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, specifically on Goal No. 4, which is to ensure an inclusive and equitable quality education and create lifelong learning opportunities for all, or simply, Quality Education
Formally established in 2007, Gabay Guro seeks to produce better teachers who can cultivate young minds and improve the state of education in our country.

A flagship Corporate Social Responsibility program of the PLDT-Smart Foundation and the PLDT Manager’s Club, Inc., Gabay Guro was the initial response to the call of the Philippines’ Department of Education (DepEd) for the private sector to help improve the quality of education in the Philippines. Recently, Gabay Guro has also been revitalized and enhanced under the Gabay Advocacies of the MPIC Group of Companies in order to align with and actively support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)
